CT4 control for three-phase Varispeed motors
CT4 control for three-phase Varispeed motors
CT4 is a tachometric voltage regulator which operates according to the principle of phase partialisation. The voltage generated by silicon-controlled diodes (SCR) is the result of an analogue process which maintains constant motor revolutions by means of differential control between the actual speed i.e. the tachogenerator voltage signal and the speed set on the potentiometer or by the external analogue signal (+10 V).
CT4 operates on one quadrant and therefore is capable of generating only drive torque, with considerably high starting torque. All controls feature galvanic isolation from the mains. The combination with a FAE VARISPEED asynchronous motor makes for an inexpensive, silent running, simple and reliable variable speed drive. The control of deceleration ramp produces its effects only in case of braking loads or irreversible systems. To control inertial loads in deceleration use device IST2.
CT4 applications as radio frequency filter, built-in or external versions (request filter or specifications when ordering) comply with general product standards regarding conducted emission and conducted susceptibility. As regards susceptibility on control cables, twice the minimum required protection degree is guaranteed for heavy industry; refer to recommendations for power and control cables in the event of problems caused by electromagnetic interference.
