History of a company full of successes

FAE work in the electronic automation sector since 1967, designing and producing controls and devices with consolidated experience in the field of industrial drives.
Starting from the catalogue products, FAE offers to OEMs/machine manufacturers also the design and the development of customised solutions that meet their specific need of integrating the control system into the OEM equipment.
This is often possible thanks to modest investments and relatively short development times. The solutions we have developed so far range over different areas of application.
We also established many partnerships with manufacturers of sensors, wiring harnesses, and control panels for which we have implemented shared projects aimed at maximizing know-how in the respective business areas and creating commercial synergies.
Feel free to contact our Sales department if you need to receive further information and to analyse your project.

SINCE 1979 TO TODAY FAE HAS PRODUCED MORE THAN 220,000 DRIVES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES, ALL REGISTERED AND TRACEABLE IN ITS OWN ARCHIVE.

Our history

  • 1967

Giorgio Fagan founded FAE Fagan Electronic Applications which at the beginning of its business designs and produces automation panels for operating bells.

  • 1974

The first automatic systems for electrical voltage stabilization, alarm systems for automobiles and electronic ignition cards for gasoline motor vehicles are developed.

  • 1979

With the integrated circuits expansion and semiconductor power devices, FAE is one of the first companies in Italy in the production of controls for speed regulation on induction electric motors, called VARISPEED, and still required today for their reliability.

  • 1990

The inverters of the VIM and VIT series are put into production, which for their simplicity and robustness are particularly appreciated in the textile sector.

  • 1995

The first integrated system of three inverters for construction cranes called Onboard computer is developed, which will be the basis of the CB2000 system.

  • 2003

FAE begins to appear in the industrial refrigeration and air conditioning sectors. The first prototypes of controllers for fans speed regulation are produced which will be the basis for the VRTM, VRMM, VRTMT and VRTMS series.

  • 2004

JOHNSON CONTROLS (https://www.johnsoncontrols.com) and FAE sign an agreement for the supply of controllers for speed regulation on fans.
The collaboration with JCI is still ongoing today with mutual satisfaction.

  • 2006

FAE is renewed and the surface of the commercial and executive offices is doubled.

  • 2007

To provide a complete service to customers in the refrigeration / air conditioning sectors, FAE becomes distributor in Italy of KELLER pressure sensors (https://keller-druck.com/en/company) and SENSATA TECHNOLOGIES (https://www.sensata.com/about). The production of Packard cables supplied with the pressure transducers also begins.

  • 2010-2011

Agreements with DANFOSS (https://www.danfoss.com/it-it/about-danfoss/) and EMERSON-DIXELL (https://www.emerson.com/it-it/about-us) for the supply of certain types of controls (under their own brand) for the completion of their product ranges. Even with these two groups, the collaboration continues today.

  • 2014

Restyling of the entire series of controls for the air conditioning and refrigeration sector with the introduction of the VRM, VRMS, VRTS, VRTMT series, more performing than the previous ones in terms of precision in speed regulation, mechanical strength and with the possibility of connection to supervision systems.

  • 2016

FAE becomes FAE s.r.l. with the participation of his son Nicola Fagan in the management of the company. In the same year, the PTec series of controls was born, dedicated to the regulation of EC fans on remote condensers and dry coolers.

  • 2020

SmartEC is presented, a multifunction intelligent control system suitable for various industrial and civil environments.
